Our stone is designed for sharpening japanese blades made of high cabon steel, as well as sharpening stainless steel blades.
The composite stone is made of the finest materials such as black slade and white corundum. The stone has a course an a fine side which is a japanese standard a grain size of 360/4000 (JIS Japan).
The eqivalent in european standard ist 240/1000 (FEPA Europa). The stone is unsed to sharpen a blunt knife and to hone it afterwords.
